Key:

S = Stand
H = Hit
Dh = Double (if not allowed, then hit)
Ds = Double (if not allowed, then stand)
SP = Split
SU = Surrender (if not allowed, then hit)




If you want to get the house edge down to the lowest possible amount, play like the above. If you are card counting or using some other advantage play, you have to modify the above. For example, if you know the deck is full of tens and aces, it does make sense to split 10s. It looks obvious though and you will get caught but you probably will win more doing that.
